What Are "God Tools"?

Have you ever wondered why so many believers seem to struggle with living the Christian life? Christians are depressed and stressed, wounded and weary! The term "God Tools" is translated "weapons of our warfare" in 2 Corinthians 10:5-6 in the King James Version and New King James Version. However, we use the synonym "God-Tools" from The Message translation of the Bible instead.

(2 Corinthians 10:5-6 MSG)...We use our powerful GOD-TOOLS for...fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience unto maturity.

God has already given us everything we need!

The good news is God has already given us everything we need to live a life pleasing to God. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 tells us that we already have all the God Tools we need. So why are so many Christians living defeated lives?

What is the problem?

For some reason, Christians have a tendency to make simple spiritual things hard.  During the Middle Ages,  people didn't even know how to get saved. It was commonplace back then to spend years and do all sorts of works to try to earn salvation.  Then God gave revelation that, "The just are saved by faith!" Now we say, "It's easy! Just ask Jesus into your heart!"

These God Tools for living the Christian life are powerful, life-changing, and extremely practical. They never fail because God never fails.
