WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?

Martin Luther Believed conversion was for the MIND, SPIRIT and PURSE. It is for the whole of your being. You don't work for money, you work for God. To SERVE God is to work for Him. If this is your attitude, than He will be your Master and not Mammon. When you feel you are not getting what you DESERVE it is then that you  DE-SERVE God.  To "de-serve" means you stop serving, you are no longer a servant. When our focus is on what we deserve, we are choosing our desires over the God who loves and provides for us.

(MAT.6:24) No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Prosperity, Breakthrough, and Peace

Prosperity is based on the very nature of God Himself. Teaching alone won't sustain you in the storms of life, only His Divine Nature will.

Psalm 35:27 states: “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

When we serve Him, we will prosper. It is in our obedience that we see the breakthrough to real peace.

Bad Choices Cost

The predictable result of having your own way instead of seeking first the kingdom of God is as follows:

(Psalm 106:13-15) But they hastily forgot His works; they did not [earnestly] wait for His plans [to develop] regarding them, But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness and tempted and tried to restrain God [with their insistent desires] in the desert. And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their souls...

God is wise enough to redeem our mistakes and restore, but the consequences of our bad choices remain.

Results Always Come from a Cause

(Matthew 7:17-18) Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

When we see negative fruit in our life, we need to welcome the Holy Spirit to deal with the root, not the symptom. If you notice a puddle in the carpet in your home, and you sop it up everyday, you may be so accustomed to sopping up the carpet that you don’t even consider the source. The root of the soggy carpet may well be the leaky roof that needs to be repaired. Real intentional change in our lives takes place not from the busy attention toward the symptom, but rather allowing God to search for the root of the issue.

The next time you see fruit in your life that is not good, take the time to inquire of the Lord. Have Him search your heart for the cause. The remedy will be forgiveness toward God, self or others.

We Fear What We Need

We may know that we need connection, but unfortunately we usually look in the wrong places. The real work of the Spirit, the real solution to our relationship dilemmas, is only found in the hidden parts of our being.

(Psalm 19:12 AMP) Who can discern his lapses and errors? Clear me from hidden [and unconscious] faults.

(Psalm 26:2) Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.

(Psalm 139:23-34 NAS) Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.
